Long Time No Talk

Hi everyone! I just realized that I haven't posted in forever. I have been so busy with work that I can't even think about anything else. I have been working 50-60 hours a week and I am so tired by the time I get home in the evenings. Most evenings, I get home, we eat dinner, get the kids ready for bed, then I lay on the couch and watch TV until it is time to go to bed. This summer it should be easier and I won't have to work as many hours - which I am really looking forward to.

My Mother's Day was nice. The kids had made me some things at school that they gave me on Friday. Then, on Sunday, we went to the mall to get Jabber and Lego some new shoes. Then DH took us out to lunch. We went to Ruby Tuesday's. When we got home, DH gave me the cards that they had gotten me. Inside my card from DH - he told me what my gift was. Do you know what he got me?? Since we are both not home that much, he got me a cleaning lady to come every other week to clean our house. I am so excited. It is not as much for me as it is for him - since DH does most of the cleaning. I can't wait to have someone clean bathrooms and baseboards and stuff. The lady is coming out on Sunday to give us the estimate.

This past week was extremely stressful. There was a police detective shot and killed in the county where DH works. It was the first officer killed in the line of duty by gunshot in 66 years. She was killed by a 18 year old boy - who was in turn killed by police. DH knew the detective that was killed pretty well. It was very sad - it really makes one think. It could have been my DH that was killed - what would I have done.

I hope everyone is doing well - I have been trying to keep up by reading everyone's blogs. Sorry I don't comment very often. I am really hoping to get better at keeping in touch with my friends.

Wedding

Well, Jabber and Princess were in a wedding last night. They were so cute, if you ask me. Here are some pictures so you can see how cute they were.

Easter Weekend

Hi everyone! I am sorry I have been MIA lately. Work is keeping me super busy. Most days I don't get home till 6:30 or after and by that time I have to fix/eat dinner, bathe kids and put them to bed. After they go to bed I usually fall onto the couch and half the time fall asleep watching my shows.

Today, the kids and I went to my grandparents house for Easter. We had an egg hunt with all the kids - there were 7 total ranging in age from 11 months to 6 years old. They had a blast finding all the eggs we hid. We hid 110 in total. They also did a craft project and made bunny ears that turned out so cute.

Tomorrow, we will do our thing in the morning - the kids will come downstairs and see what they got from the Easter Bunny and then we will hide some eggs here. Then in the afternoon we will go to my sister-in-laws house for another egg hunt and Easter dinner.

At some point tomorrow I also have to go to the grocery store to get food for the week and Jabber needs to work on his project for school.

I hope everyone has a very Happy Easter!!!

Can't Sleep

I don't know why, but I just can't sleep tonight. I have so much on my mind that I just can't relax. I slept good from 10-1 but now I am awake. So, I came down to check my email and write out a to-do list. I am hoping since I wrote everything down, it can go out of my head and I can go back to sleep. DH's alarm goes off at 5 and I have to get up between 6 and 6:30 to get ready for work. I don't have to be at work till 9:30, but I will most likely get there earlier - if I can get my kids up and moving.

Now that I am working, I have no time to do anything. I have not pulled out any of my Easter Decorations. I am in charge of bringing filled Easter eggs to my grandparents house on Easter Saturday, and I have not bought the stuff to fill them with. I have not bought anything for my kids' Easter Baskets, nor gifts for my nieces and nephews. We have 2 birthday parties to go to this weekend and I have not gotten gifts - I may try and take my kids to work before I have to be there today or tomorrow and run to Target before I have to be to work. If not, I don't know when I am going to get this stuff done. I can do the Easter shopping either Saturday or Sunday after birthday parties.

Well, enough rambling for today - I am going to try and head back to bed.

Random Ramblings

Well, it was another busy week, but hopefully it is all settling down. I was even able to get to Curves one day last week. Maybe this week I can make it 2 times. Yesterday, I went up to KinderCare to do some cleaning. There was about 8 of us that showed up. We cleaned out some outside sheds that had a bunch of junk in it. We filled up our dumpster and still had so much junk that we decided to load up the KinderCare bus and drive the junk to the dump. We looked so funny driving down the road. There were 6 of us and a bunch of junk. All was going well until my mom (who had come to help with the cleaning) was trying to get a box out and it slipped and fell and came down on her finger - and somehow something metal cut her finger. We bandaged her up as much as we could and then we went back to KinderCare. She insisted she was fine to drive and would have my dad meet her at the Urgent Care near her house. She ended up needing 3 stitches and a tetanus shot. After she left we continued to work. Everyone else other than my assistant and myself left by about 3:15. My assistant and I were there until about 5:30. I got there at 10am. I feel bad for DH cause he was with the kids all day - but this was all stuff I needed to get done. Then, today I have a Stampin Up party to go to - so I will be leaving him with the kids again. I will take Jabber with me and Princess and Lego should be sleeping for at least part of the time I am gone. At some point today I need to go to the grocery store as well - maybe we will make that a family event. I also need to go shopping for some more dress clothes - I am tired of wearing the same clothes all the time. I am going to try and go buy a couple new pieces each pay period.

Sorry I have just rambled on. I kind of just jumped from topic to topic.

First Week

Well, I survived my first week - I wasn't sure if I was going to. My assistant's mother died on Friday so she was gone on Monday - Wednesday of this week. Which means, I was kind of thrown to the wolves ( my 2 training weeks were not the greatest, nor the most productive). It was a very long week. I worked from 6 am to 6:30 pm everyday. Monday seemed to go pretty well. Tuesday I was out of the building most of the day for a meeting and Wednesday was a day from H***. Two people decided to call out sick and another had to leave early for a doctor's appointment. I was in tears in the middle of the day trying to figure out what I was going to do. It looked as if I was going to have to take 24 to myself (which I would have been way out of ratio since ratio is 1:12 in the 4's). Then I would have had to have another teacher stand in the doorway to watch my 24 while keeping an eye on the infants in her room. Finally I just called one of the teachers that called in sick and told her she had to come in - I had let her sleep and try to get rid of her migrane, but she was needed in work. All - in all- it worked out okay. Thursday, I had to go to Richmond for some training, so I was out of the building for the day, but my assistant was back so she could take care of things and I didn't have to stress about stuff happening. Friday, was an awesome day. Both my assistant and I were in the building and we got a lot done. Even my boss stopped by (who I can't stand) and went room to room saying what I needed to change (basically ripped apart the centet). However this week I was able to keep my labor hours down and was able to collect pretty much all of the money from the parents, so hopefully she won't be on our backs this week. I am hoping next week goes very smoothly and I can get into a routine (and even get back into going to Curves).

I apologize to my friend's for not commenting on your blogs lately. I have been trying to stay up on reading them when I get a chance to get on the computer, but haven't commented, so I have more time to see how everyone is doing.

Almost done training

Well, today is my last day training. Next week I am on my own at my own center. I am looking forward to not travelling around to the different centers and getting stuff cleaned up and organized at my center. The only thing is that these last 2 weeks, I have kind of been on my own schedule and starting next week, I have to be at work by 6 on Mon. and Wed. and then not till 9:30 on Tues. and Thurs. Then, I am not sure if I am early or late on Friday. After 2 weeks of that schedule, my early days can be 7, instead of 6. And my assistant and I will alternate Fridays. I think I might go in some this weekend to get some stuff cleaned up and get familiar where things are. Well, off to get the kids ready so we can head into work. TTYL
